Activities and roles:

Fr. Jacob Otieno is a Montfort Missionary priest (SMM) from Kenya. He is involved in various capacities within the Company of Mary (Montfort Missionaries).

• Montfort Missionary Priest: He is a member of the Company of Mary (SMM), also known as the Montfort Missionaries. He made his first profession on August 15, 2008, in Mbarara, Uganda.
• New Mission in Kenya: He was one of the pioneer priests for a new Montfortian community opened in Mulot parish, Ngong diocese, Kenya, where he is involved in running a Marian shrine.
• Visiting Marian Shrines: He has visited Marian shrines of the Company of Mary in Connecticut and on Long Island in the United States, as the Company of Mary is working towards establishing a shrine in Kenya.
• Montfortian Lay Associates: He encourages lay associates who renew their consecration to keep the faith and pray through St. Louis de Montfort and Mother Mary for strength in bearing witness to Christ.
• Participation in Montfortian Gatherings: He has participated in various Montfortian meetings and assemblies, including the Continental Assembly for Africa and Madagascar.
• Leadership Roles:
  • In 2019, he was appointed Superior and Formator at the International Scholasticate of Nairobi, Kenya.
  • In October 2023, he was appointed Superior of the General Delegation of Anglophone Africa for a three-year mandate.
